Irgendwo zwischen klassischem Pinup, erotischer Phantasy und künstlerischem Comic müßte ansich ein eigenes Genre existieren, dem sich die meisterhaft gezeichneten Erotikbilder des Schweizers David Boller zuordnen ließen. Zugleich reift jedoch erneut die Erkenntnis, daß die Kunst keine Schubladen mag und daß auch Bollers Arbeiten ganz gut ohne Klassifikation auskommen. Vor allem, wenn der Betrachter zu jener beneidenswerten Sorte Mensch gehört, die sich von einer künstlerischen Idee noch begeistern und inspirieren lässt.

Born and raised in Zuerich, Switzerland, David attended the Joe Kubert School of Graphics and Cartoon Art in New Jersey. After graduation he worked for Marvel, DC, Acclaim, Wildstorm, Top Cow and Warp Graphics on a variety of titles such as Spiderman, Batman, Witchblade, Magic the Gathering and Elfquest. 1996 saw the publication of his own creation KAOS MOON by Caliber. The successful urban fantasy around a medium and her beautiful astral alter ego was also serialized in the German HEAVY METAL magazine and was collected into two graphic novels by Alpha Comics. David co-founded TUSK ENTERTAINMENT to publish comic books and create online entertainment on its website BURNING CIRCLE.NET. |
