I
was raised in New York (Queens, Brooklyn, Long Island) and lived
there the first 30 years of my life. I have recently begun spending
most of my time in Beverly Hills, so Ive changed the address in my
profile from Texas to California. For those of you who know me from
the Dallas area…..Ill still be coming back at least once a month. I
wont have much free time, but we can still try to work something
out.
Photography is my passion, always has been. I started as a preteen
and have not put the camera down since. Until a year or two ago, I
was just your average amateur photographer. I enjoyed taking
pictures to capture the memory of sights and events, but I never
took it seriously. All that changed when my daughter Jessica decided
to start pursuing a modeling career. I purchased some professional
equipment and tried to learn as much as I could in my free time.
Since then, I have converted completely to digital and use the
top-of-the-line Nikon D1X as my main camera. I have several other
back up cameras as well as video. I have immersed myself in this
field and some people say that I have come a long way in such a
short period of time, but I think all those years of just snapping
away had to contribute to where I am now!
This is my art, I possess no other artistic expression (except for
maybe the ability to write coherent sentences with reasonably
accurate grammar.) I take my photography very seriously and consider
every final image to be a piece of art. Naturally some are better
than others, but they're all art regardless of how good they are. I
usually spend a great deal of time on each image (an hour or longer
is not uncommon, and rarely do I spend less than 15 minutes) and I
like to think of the processing as a natural extension of the
artistic process.
I am always on the lookout for models that have drive and ambition.
I am especially fond of models with an artistic flair that bring
creativity to the shoot, and am searching for my next muse. If you
are nearby, enjoy shooting every opportunity you get, then make sure
you let me know. Through experimentation, I have produced some very
nice images and it is fun to keep trying new things that you would
not do on a normal shoot.
I try to do as much TFP or TFCD as I can for new or established
models, but paying clients naturally receive higher priority. You
can see my rates page if you follow the link below that says Paul
Simonetti Photography. Im always negotiable and willing to help
anyone who asks for help.
