Als Mitglied der russischen Künstlergruppe „M7“ gelang der Moskauer Photographin Elena Zhurikhina früh der künstlerische Durchbruch. Sie kombiniert in ihren handwerklich hoch anspruchsvollen Werken erotisch- ästhetische  Leichtigkeit und Schwere zu einem ganz eigenen photographischen Stil. Die Modelle werden immer offen, natürlich, lebendig und erotisch reizvoll porträtiert. Farblich oder lichttechnisch sucht Elena Zhurikhina jedoch auch die düsteren und dunkleren Aspekte und Stimmungen einzufangen und Zeugnis zu geben von der Vielgestaltigkeit des menschlichen Wesens.

Elena Zhurikhina is a russian photographer.  She was
  born in 1975 in Moscow, Russia.
  Most successful year in her career was 2002. In May-June 2002 she, alongside with "M7" art group, organized four exibitions. In June-October her personal excibition "Woman's view" took place in "Photovision" photoclub (Moscow, Russia).
Also, in November 2002, Elena Zhurikhina took part in international exibition "SALONE ATHESIS - INTERNET DIGITAL PHOTO 2002", which took place in Padova, Italy. In May 2003, she took part in international exibitions "DIGITAL MASTER CIRCUIT 2003" in Vienna, Austria and "2nd Suncoast Virtual" in Clearwater, Florida, USA. In June 2003, she  took part in international exibitions "7nd VOAV-Salon for digital iMAGING 2003" in Vienna, Austria and "Sibirscoe biennale", Surgut, Russia.
  Elena works in Nu style, trying to express herself, as well as state of woman's spirit, her relationship to the surroundings. Nudity is attractive because, when people are nude, they become themselves, they don't hide their mood, and that's more interesting than traditional portrait.
  Elena also shoots portraits and art photo, shoots for portfolio of models and for advertising.
